Well, not actual human beings, mind you, but human embryos which, they assure us, were destroyed following the experiment. Uh, yeah, sure, if you say so. I mean, what Trekkie-turned-scientist is going to be able to resist the urge to create his own exotic, irridescent alien dancer?:
