Hunting The Elusive Searcharsaurus

Billy’s Big Little List Of Search Engines

A hunting we will go, a hunting we will go. High, ho, the dairy-oh, a hunting we will go...

Okay, so the vast majority of your traffic will come from Google, Yahoo, and MSN Search but those aren’t the only guys playing the search hunting game. It might be you'll never get a single hit from some of the many search engines but with each submission you get another link to count towards your Google Page Rank. If you’re serious about getting lots of traffic to your website or blog then you’ll want to hunt down and add your site’s URL to as many search engines as possible.

Here’s a list of search engines that I’ve found through various sources throughout the web-- most often through other search engines, sometimes through my site tracking, and occasionally from friends-- that you can add your site(s) to as well. Some are specilized and won’t accept your site but give them a try anyway-- who knows, maybe you’ll pick up a new reader or two. The search engines marked with a * will give you higher page rank in return for linking to them and the search boxes are from search engines offering affiliate plans.
