Flower Confidential By Amy Stewart

I can't claim to have read it but having spent 4 years delivering flowers, the idea that the flower industry needs to become greener isn't lost on me. Such is the message I perceive Flower Confidential By Amy Stewart to bring.

And here's an interesting bite: "We buy more flowers a year than we do Big Macs.." Wow, I had do idea.

I came across Amy's blog while doing research on earthworms as I plan to add worms to my urban livestock farm. Amy also authored, The Earth Moved: On the Remarkable Achievements of Earthworms. Seems chickens and fish really like worms but I don't want to raise commonly found red wigglers as they are a non native invasive species and are destroying hardwood forests across much of the United States and Canada.
