Community Art Blogs
Most of the so called "art bloggers" I come across in my Internet travels are in-fact thieves. They steal the content they post giving no attribution to its authors and attach Google Adwords ads making Google a partner in their unlawful use of content belonging to others.
I will never direct my readers to any of those blogs and hope the rest of the Blogosphere will join me in the de-linking of plagiarizers and copyright theves.
That said, there is a small but growing number of community art blogs who work to promote their local artists while remaining within the bounds of fair use of content. That's why I've decided to start featuring these community are blogs and maintaining a list of community art blogs. With your help it will grow quickly.
One such community art blog is abLA (art blogging Los Angeles). At abLA the authors, Caryn Coleman, Spencer Cross, Heather Jeno and Valerie Palmer have been blogging LA's arts scene since 2004. They've won numerous awards for their work and set an example for community arts blogs everywhere.
If you would like for your community art blog to be added to our list then please e-mail idleblogs (AT) yahoo.com with the words, "community art blog" in the subject line so I won't think it spam.
Does Greensboro have a community art blog? If yes then please point me there and if not I can arrange to teach you the easiest way to make it happen.
