Green Bench Rides Again

As a 51 year old white dude I can't begin to claim I'm plugged in to Hip-hop culture but John Holland of Green Bench Productions is so plugged-in and a part of Hip-hop that the recent A&T University grad can make fun of Hip-hop in a way the cool dudes and us old dudes can relate to and I'm happy to announce that John, who I have known for over a year and who lives here in Greensboro has recently released a DVD of hilarious skits titled On The Edge Comedy Volume 1 – The Sketches DVD that I know you are going to love. I've been rolling in the floor laughing my ass off for over a year, now you can too.

My Wife's Gonna Kick Your Ass!

Blogsboro.com reader and contributor, Sunny Reid, uploaded this video of a drunk lawn mower driver getting arrested for driving while intoxicated and teaches me a new way to get more readers to your blog by joining the Blogsboro Video Network.

Sunny added her blog's RSS feed to her personal profile at Blogsboro Videos and is now getting more readers at her blog, Sunny's. Until today, I didn't even know that was possible.

Another tool Sunny has been using is Discovery Place.

The Problem With Online Video

I admit I'm a fan of online video but most online video sucks. Sometimes it's because it's poorly written, shot and directed but more often the problem is that it's filled full of stops and starts with the audio running far ahead of the video. I'd like to feature more online video here at Blogsboro.com but the time it requires to weed out video I can't view is eating up the time I could be featuring great videos.

Now I'm not very well informed when it comes to video and I've long thought the problem was with my computer and the fact that my computer is ten years old but then aren't most computers that are currently in people's homes and offices several years old? Fact is: For most of us a computer is a major expense we simply can't afford to replace every year.

I often reject linking to and/or displaying what I think might be great videos simply because I can't view them the way they were meant to be viewed and while my old computer may well be the problem I've recently decided my computer may not be the problem. You see, I can view the commercials just fine.

To the world's aspiring online video producers: Until you can do what the advertisers are doing you're not doing online video.
