Today Is The Biggest Day Of My Life

By the time most of you read this poem I will be in front of the camera as part of the process of filming a segment for The Discovery Channel's Planet Earth. I know most of you won't believe me but nothing I have done has ever been in search of fortune and fame. All I ever hoped to do was sell enough books to never be homeless again, stop being a burden on my family and make the world better than it is. But then had you read my books you would already know that.

Discovery: Take Ten

Here I stand before the lens--
my big discovery.
And from it will I ever mend--
complete recovery?
With every smile and every mile
the adventures continue on
as I hope to make it through the day
with nothing going wrong.
