National Poetry Month Comes To The Blogosphere
Mar 25, 2008 at 07:45PM Of course you already know about the 2008 Poet Laureate of the Blogosphere awards that begin on April 1st but for those who might not know I've decided to begin a list of Blogosphere events set to run during 2008's National Poetry Month.
Sara of Poets Who Blog is asking for submissions to her National Poetry Month Project and will be featuring no less than 1 poetry blogger for each day of the month.
ReadWritePoem is promoting participants of April's NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month) and encouraging poetry bloggers to write and post 1 poem for each day in April. Since I write new poems every day and have been doing so for years and years I keep thinking I should participate in NaPoWriMo but keep forgeting to add my name to their roster.
NAPOWRIMO! National Poetry Writing Month is being talleyed by Reen Head, I think.
Refrigerator Poetry Writing Month Also known as PePoWriMo!
The Burnside Writers' Blog will be posting a poem a day by the various members of their writers' collective.
Sarabande Books announces their Chalk it Up book give away.
You can bet that something is going on at MiPOesias though I've no idea what.
Laurel Snyder is doing a children's poem for each day of National Poetry Month. Dude, do I ever miss having my own children's poetry site?
Speaking of kids, the Wild Rose Reader has a kids' list of National Poetry Month Events. Man, do I ever miss my children's poetry site. I think I'm getting depressed.
Why did TS. Elliot say April is the cruelest month? I love April.
If you have a National Poetry Month event happening on your blog or if you know of such an event that isn't listed please feel free to leave a link in the comments below and once I verify your link isn't spam I'll add it to this list.
Update: Poetmeister 4 Poets has a list of Other National Poetry Month Happenings.
