NAPOWRIMO! (National Poetry Writing Month)
Mar 30, 2008 at 03:28PM
I've been a participant in NAPOWRIMO! every year since its inception. Only problem was, every year I forgot to let anyone know I was taking part.
This year will be different as I actually remembered to contact Reen at NAPOWRIMO! and put myself on a list. You should too.
The idea is simple: Write and post a new poem to your blog everyday of the month of April as an observance of National Poetry Month. As an added treat: If you participate, complete the task and send an e-mail to idleblogs (AT) yahoo.com I'll happily create a list of links to those of you who manage to post 30 poems in 30 days.
NAPOWRIMO! is one of the events listed on my list the of Blogosphere's National Poetry Month Events as is the 2008 Poet Laureate of the Blogosphere event that begins on April 1st.

I've also started Refrigerator Poetry Writing Month, for those of us either with writer's block or who are in despair about our previous NaPoWriMo efforts. It's like NaPo, but using words from refrigerator poetry magnets. Fun, and sometimes not too bad. Check out my blog: repowrimo.blogspot.com
