Grinch Alert!
By spreading their lies, some who claim to defend Christmas are actually attempting an assault on any who choose to celebrate the holidays in any manner different than their own. These cruel people have little or no understanding of the true meaning of Christmas.
100 Blogging Poets-- Days 81 & 82, Hungry Bare, Bair, Bear, Bar, B...
Last night my ISP went down before I could get around to posting yesterday’s addition to the list of 100 Blogging Poets In 100 Days so tonight we get two.
Let’s start with someone who is new to the Poetisphere, the Hungry Writer who’s doing the starvin’ artist thing from the Windy City-- Chicago, Illinois. Once upon a time when I lived in Illinois, I met a Chicago English teacher who told me, “There’s no noise in Illinois.”
Having grown up in and only recently left a much quieter town here in the Southland, I could only reply, “Illinoise is the loudest place I’ve ever been.”
She didn’t seem to understand. I reckon I didn’t either.
Some have asked me how I find all the poets I highlight. Without being flippant, most of them find me, some are recommended by others, and occasionally I resort to googling for blogging poets. For example: tonight I went googling for a bare poet thinking surely I’ll find several but believe it or not I was unable to find even one bare poet blog so I changed my search and came up with Bear Silber of BearSilber.com.
Now think, all you poets out there: What is it I just told you?
And don’t forget the BloggingPoet.com 30 Days Of Christmas continues until Christmas Day right here at BloggingPoet.com ‘cause those guys with 12 days ain’t got squat.

Company Christmas Party
So it’s that time of year when once again we face the annual ordeal known to people world-wide as the company Christmas party. Yeah, I’ve had a couple that didn’t go as well as I had hoped but none were as bad as this poor guy.

Dustin's Greenhouse
I ran across an old friend today. Clay Thornton is the Director Of Creative Services for brij-- a computer, Internet, consulting, and marketing company here in my hometown. Clay, Songbear, myself, and a bunch of friends make regular excursions to camp at a secret spot by a mountain near the dividing line between Floyd and Carroll Counties high in the Virginia highlands near the Blue Ridge Parkway where we sit around the campfire, tell jokes, sing songs, and share poems and stories. Sometimes we even tell true stories but you’ll not read them here. Clay is a fan of my songs and I’m a fan of Clay’s poetry.
Been known to see a bear or a panther up there from time to time.
Something that caught my eye at the brij website was a link to Dustin’s Greenhouse-- a nonprofit formed to aid in the academic development of underprivileged children founded in the memory of 19 year old Dustin Ryan Green whose family owns brij.
Look for more on this in the future.

What I’m Blogging
Ric Knight is renting my blog this week so I thought you might want to check out What I’m Blogging. Ric lives near Toronto and does some great writing and photography. I especially love Corridors of Glass as it goes with the season.
Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin Laid...
Hey look, I'm really sorry but the song you came looking to find has been moved to an undisclosed location. What are you waiting for-- jingle your bells right on over there.

‘Twas The Night Of Thanksgiving
Daniel has written a great parody about experiencing the holidays that I think you’ll love. Go check out ‘Twas The Night Of Thanksgiving. I think you’ll find yourself laughing at yourself.
Blogging With Wooden Tongue
The French call it la langue de bois, translated the "wooden tongue." The Native Americans called it “forked tongue.” I say it’s a damn shame what corporations and politricksters are doing to this medium we call the blog and Wired News reports on Blogging With Wooden Tongue.
