Nov 13, 2007 at 09:23PM Beach Reflections
And the waves...
the waves crashed like thunder on the beach.
I know it's cliche but no more can I reach.
Dogs howled at the moon, the cow, she did too
as I stared at the sun drinking strange brew.
Lions and lambs, they mated, had puppies
who all grew up rich to call themselves yuppies.
"Dumb as a mud fence," the old ones would say,
"but the yuppies got money and they'll not go away."
"At least they've got teeth," an old woman laughed.
"Me, I got teeth too but I've only got half."
'Twas a cold and dark night as the fog it rolled in.
And I know you're thinking, He's at it again.
But it's all just a trick as I riddle with rhyme
and I'd tell you much more if I just had the time.
And I guess you're now wondering as I fiddle with speech--
not a single damn word reflects on the beach.
