100 Blogging Poets-- Days 70-72, Cheney’s Got A Gun!
Apr 4, 2006 at 07:50PM
Well, since no one has provided me with any new poets to add to my list of 100 Blogging Poets In 100 Days-- Episode II, I decided to load my gun and go hunting on my own. I can tell you one thing: Hunting poets is a lot more challenging than a Vice-president’s canned hunting trip and so far no lawyers have been shot. Poets either.
Fiona Robyn isn’t a bird-- at least I don’t think she’s a bird-- but she has been nominated for the 2006 Poet Laureate Of The Blogosphere. Fiona writes the blog, A Small Stone, is 31 years old, and lives in some place called the Magic Kingdom... Wait, that’s not right, she’s not a mouse and she lives in the United Kingdom with her partner and her cats where she works a a writer, poet, and novelist who appears to leave no stone unturned when looking for subject matter.
Imagine me confusing Fiona Robyn with Mickey Mouse... silly me.
This next poet found me... sorta. Miss Taken is a 34 year old teacher from somewhere in the USA. I’ve never really been in contact with her but my blog has. I’ll explain: I was looking through my referral logs when I found a hit from Elicit Beauty-- a site I had never seen before-- so I clicked on the link and low and behold she had posted a link to 100 Blogging Poets In 100 Days, that being the first edition of this list. Well EB, it may be that in the past you’ve been a reader of my blog, but now it’s mutual. Thanks for the link!
Do I need to spell it out to the rest of you as yet undiscovered blogging poets?
Next I made my way through the wilds, pen in hand to The Virtual World where I found yet another victim. Carefully I raised my cursor, aimed, and clicked my mouse sending a virtual shot straight through Postcards Of The Imagination, the blog of Virginia M. Heatter, co-founder and Editor-n-chief of The New Hampshire Review. Hey, I’ve got an X living in Nashua, would you happen to know... Oh, never mind, it’s only been 20 years, I still need more time.
Well, that about wraps it up for today’s hunt, three more in the bag, Seventy-two down, twenty-eight to go, and twenty-one days to bag my limit. Will I score 100 Blogging Poets In 100 Days for the second time in a row? Send your suggestions to idleblogs (AT) yahoo.com or leave them in the comments below.
