Highlighting Blogsboro’s Best-- Part 8

She subtitles her blog, “A Soulless Vessel Of Self-Aggrandizement.” What she means by that I haven’t a clue, but JW (I ain’t tellin’ her real name) from How Do You Like Me Now? is no-doubt entertaining and enlightening, especially to those of us in the over 40 crowd, though I venture to guess younger audiences will laugh just as loud as JW spews her thoughts, opinions, and life’s circumstances into the Blogosphere for all to see.

An employee at a local university and a local political consultant (the second being the reason JW remains anonymous) JW writes about her three bundles of joy (two in college, the third college bound this Fall) her husband of 30 years, Mister Wonderful, and her many blogging friends.

Long time readers of How Do You Like Me Now? have witnessed JW come of age as a blogger. From those first angst-filled posts where she begged for help in using hyperlinks to her complaints that some of her favorite bloggers have failed to post as often as they once did, JW has filled her blog with over a year of her exciting life and the exciting lives of those around her, always without mentioning names except when the names and their deeds were already in the public domain.

For us dudes, reading JW’s blog is sometimes like sitting through those women’s hygiene commercials on television: you know you shouldn’t be paying any attention to the commercial but by the time you realize just what you’re watching you can’t run to the ‘fridge and back before the game comes back on so you just wait it out, but somehow JW manages to shock us into coming back for more.

If you’ve got kids-- especially teenagers-- then you need to know JW. Do the stupid SUV drivers on the road get your goat? They get JW’s goat too. And what about people who are just plain rude? JW lets ‘em have an earful of expletives even a sailor wouldn’t repeat but at least she’s nice about it. JW even gives advice on how to remain married possibly forever.

JW has been especially good to Blogsboro, mending fences and tearing down walls when necessary. She gives everyone the chance to be liked by her and puts up with far more BS than some of the rest of us ever would, but if by chance you push her too far... well, I wouldn’t advise it. You see, JW knows people.
