100 Blogging Poets-- Days 81 & 82, Hungry Bare, Bair, Bear, Bar, B...
Nov 30, 2005 at 09:47PM
Last night my ISP went down before I could get around to posting yesterday’s addition to the list of 100 Blogging Poets In 100 Days so tonight we get two.
Let’s start with someone who is new to the Poetisphere, the Hungry Writer who’s doing the starvin’ artist thing from the Windy City-- Chicago, Illinois. Once upon a time when I lived in Illinois, I met a Chicago English teacher who told me, “There’s no noise in Illinois.”
Having grown up in and only recently left a much quieter town here in the Southland, I could only reply, “Illinoise is the loudest place I’ve ever been.”
She didn’t seem to understand. I reckon I didn’t either.
Some have asked me how I find all the poets I highlight. Without being flippant, most of them find me, some are recommended by others, and occasionally I resort to googling for blogging poets. For example: tonight I went googling for a bare poet thinking surely I’ll find several but believe it or not I was unable to find even one bare poet blog so I changed my search and came up with Bear Silber of BearSilber.com.
Now think, all you poets out there: What is it I just told you?
And don’t forget the BloggingPoet.com 30 Days Of Christmas continues until Christmas Day right here at BloggingPoet.com ‘cause those guys with 12 days ain’t got squat.
