Dustin's Greenhouse

I ran across an old friend today. Clay Thornton is the Director Of Creative Services for brij-- a computer, Internet, consulting, and marketing company here in my hometown. Clay, Songbear, myself, and a bunch of friends make regular excursions to camp at a secret spot by a mountain near the dividing line between Floyd and Carroll Counties high in the Virginia highlands near the Blue Ridge Parkway where we sit around the campfire, tell jokes, sing songs, and share poems and stories. Sometimes we even tell true stories but you’ll not read them here. Clay is a fan of my songs and I’m a fan of Clay’s poetry.

Been known to see a bear or a panther up there from time to time.

Something that caught my eye at the brij website was a link to Dustin’s Greenhouse-- a nonprofit formed to aid in the academic development of underprivileged children founded in the memory of 19 year old Dustin Ryan Green whose family owns brij.
