100 Blogging Poets-- Day 73, Who Are You?
Nov 21, 2005 at 07:57PM
“I really wanna know who the f*** are you?” -The Who.
Imagine a poet without a name, an Anonymous Poet known only for his, or her verse and nothing more. If you think about it, it takes guts to risk becoming a big hit when no one will ever know your name. Then again, maybe he or she is already famous, perhaps under constraint of a heavy handed publishing contract with one of the major houses who would never allow one of their authors the joy of blogging one’s poetry for fear they might not get their cut. Maybe A.P. is a public official in a high power job working for the President or something? Maybe A.P. is the President? (Nah, Bush isn’t smart enough to write poetry, he doesn’t even know how to read a newspaper, remember?) Or perhaps A.P. is just the shy, reserved sort, afraid to bask in the bright public light for fear of blogburn or something, who knows?
Well, no matter what the reason A.P. is today’s addition to my list of 100 Blogging Poets In 100 Days, and a must read for poetry lovers everywhere.
